Short Bio of Arie Shahar:
Dr. Shahar has a Ph.D. and Post Doctorate degree in Physics and has published 45 scientific papers and 106 patents.
He has over 40 years' experience in research and development including fabrication of semiconductor lasers detectors and FET's, auto-focus systems, on-chip integrated optics, scanning printing and imaging systems, scanning electron-microscopes, optical inspection, optical communication, Si and Ge based Gamma-Ray & X-Ray fluorescent systems and CZT based Gamma and X-Ray radiation detectors and systems.
Dr. Shahar has held major R&D positions at AT&T Bell Labs and Bellcore Communication Research in New Jersey and OPAL (Applied Materials-Israel), Jordan Valley Applied Radiation, Imarad Imaging Systems, Orbotech Medical Solutions and GE-Healthcare in Israel.
Dr. Shahar was the cofounder of Prima Luci, a startup in optical communication based in the US.
In 2012, Dr. Shahar was nominated the Chief Scientist of General Electric -Rehovot.
