About a year ago I decided to leave the field of architecture and start coding full-time. I enrolled in a six-month engineering immersion program where I spent sixty hours per week building a foundational programming knowledge and using it to create and deploy full-stack web applications. I've worked mostly within the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js), but I've also used jQuery on the front-end, PostgreSQL on the back-end, and a bit of Python. I'm experienced at building RESTful APIs, writing unit tests, and development using CI/CD.

I'm excited to dive into the field and see where my skills can take me and I'm looking to connect with people who will inspire me to grow as a developer." />

My name is Clint and I'm an Architect turned Software Developer (Building Architect, not Software Architect). I started coding as a side-project when my firm asked me to redesign our company website and I was immediately hooked.

I love how you start within the organized, structured environment of a programming language and then manipulate it to create anything you want. There's something immensely rewarding about diving into a project, learning on-the-fly, solving problems as you go, and emerging with something that you're proud of.

Coding combines all of my favorite aspects of architecture (design, creativity, problem-solving) and there are a lot of skills that carry over—I'm very good at paying attention to the technical details, but also keeping them in perspective within the bigger picture. And, believe it or not, before I had ever even heard the terms "Agile" or "Scrum" I was using a Scrum/Kanban-style system to organize my projects and daily tasks.
