Debra has more than 16 years’ communications and engagement experience in the private and public sector for the infrastructure, resources, education, health, not-for-profit, corporate and tourism sectors across Queensland, NSW, ACT, Victoria and South Australia. She has been involved in major design and construct projects, alliances, joint ventures and feasibility studies.

Debra has a strong track record of strategically advising and implementing successful projects and programs as a consultant and in-house. Her strong interpersonal skills ensure she builds and sustains effective and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Debra’s clients appreciate her calm approach to any situation, and her organisation and efficiency. Debra is a natural leader who inspires the people she works with while being integral in management teams. She also develops and implements strategies that can be tracked and evaluated to have a strong indication of the level of success. Debra also successfully develops and implements workshops for strategy development, internal culture reviews, brand development and stakeholder roadshows.

In addition to her Bachelor of Mass Communication, Debra also holds a Certificate in Public Participation and a Certificate in Emotion, Outrage and Public Participation, a Certificate IV in Frontline Management and Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision (Monitoring a safe workplace). Debra is a passionate advocate for gender equality in the infrastructure sector and has previously worked with the UQ Women in Engineering Program and was the Sponsorship Chairperson for the National Association of Women in Construction (Queensland). Debra is currently a Board Member for the Infrastructure Association of Queensland (IAQ) and Constructionarium.
