My educational journey has started in Turin, Italy, with a bachelor in Philosophy; it has shaped my mind and given me the logic structure of the semantic implication but also the creativity and flexibility of adopting unconventional points of view in solving problems. Since I am a very curious person, who aims to have a thorough vision of things, I enriched my educational path with Physical Engineering Bachelor degree at Polytechnic University of Turin. As an autonomous and fast learning person, I earned the diploma in due time and specialized with a Master in Electronic Engineering, also spending six months in Montpellier for the Master’s final project on spintronic devices for low power application. In 2018, I decided to pursue a Ph.D. after a brief experience in Industry that made me aware of the processes and mechanisms at play out of the Academic environment: I improved team working and other important soft skills since I was in charge to manage suppliers. My Ph.D. was co-funded by CNES, LIRMM and CEA Grenoble; it aimed to explore the radiation-tolerance of spintronic devices for space applications. During these years, I had the opportunity to learn a lot about physics, device modelling/simulation, radiation campaign experiment design, data analysis and space environment. Meanwhile, my continuous- learning attitude and my personal interest for AI led me to autonomously study Python and Machine Learning techniques. My Ph. D. has reinforced my will to continue to work on space-related projects. Moreover, I have always had the desire to contribute to the big challenge that human beings have to face. This naturally pushed me towards AI application for climate change and ultimately to Earth Observation by participating also to webinars where I have been in contact with very inspirational people.
