Erik Rieger is a Principal Global Technical Alliance Manager & Architect, working with VMware's Global SAP Alliance. He defines and manages the execution of the VMware SAP solution and validation roadmap.
Erik works closely with SAP, partners and customers to define the architectures of VMware based SAP solutions so that they have the best mix of functionality to help transform businesses into real-time enterprises and is a leading subject matter expert on virtualizing SAP applications and solutions and can be regularly found speaking at technical events.

Erik joined VMware in January 2013. Prior to that, he worked for Hewlett-Packard as an enterprise architect, where he was responsible for overseeing the complete HP solution portfolio, including hardware, software and services.

Erik has more than 20 years of experience in the IT sector, has a technical degree in electronics and a Master of Science degree in Information Systems and Management. He is VMware, HP, SAP, Microsoft and ITIL certified.

Erik lives in Stuttgart, Germany.
