Prior to that, she held positions at the Inter-American Development Bank, the Institute for Policy Research and the Economics Department at Northwestern University.

Grace is highly educated and has received numerous awards and scholarships. Grace earned a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Maryland as a Ph.D. student, B.A./M.A. degrees from Northwestern University, and a Certificate in Financial Economics from the Kellogg School of Management.

Grace was born in Quito, Ecuador. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. She has volunteered with a number of Latino nonprofits and has traveled extensively to Latin America.
