Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering @ New Berlin, Pennsylvania
Director Of Education & Youth at Mosaic Law Congregation
As a person who personally understands the needs of a diverse community and as one who grew up in Israel, and more recently in the United States, It is my intention to build a community while accelerating progress on diversity, equity, and inclusion in the various programs using high emotional intelligence and cultural competence.
Last spring, I received my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University, Sacramento. In 2009 I completed a Master’s in Educational Management in Israel and in 2006 I received my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. These studies have inspired me to develop an acute awareness of inclusion and equality among students and their families. My skillset would easily transfer to developing a vision, plan, and training to support programs and staff with the necessary tools and skills.
I have seven years of management experience as the Director of Education and Youth at Mosaic Law Congregation in Sacramento working with youth from infant to high school. Prior to coming to the United States, I managed a kindergarten program for six years and mentored student teachers. These positions include a religious school and community programs management for various age levels, staff recruitment, curriculum development and implementation, and program development.
The abovementioned jobs require me to create relationships with a diverse group of community members, and to confront inclusion and diversity challenges on a daily basis, starting with special needs student accommodations, and ending with the welcoming of interfaith families to the community.
