Software engineer with strong web development, business and analytics experience. When I'm not building software, I can be found cycling, hiking or exploring Europe.

I really enjoy solving challenging problems through innovation. I value modular, scalable software that can be optimized to solve complex issues. I'm most experienced in using PostgresSQL, SQL Server, Ruby on Rails and Php Laravel to create RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures (SOA) on the backend with React-Redux and JavaScript for dynamic frontend views. Recently I've worked with Jest-Enzyme for testing, but I love learning new technologies. I love software engineering because it allows me to get my hands dirty, gain a comprehensive understanding of all the moving parts and fine tune how all the pieces fit together to create an effective system.

In a former life as a consultant and analyst I worked on finding patterns in consumer data, generating insights and communicating these to clients through structured presentations. As a developer, I draw on this technical and client experience to excel in collaborative teams and build scalable, beautiful applications that solve business problems.
