Dr. La Donna M. Combs is a compassionate Domestic & Sexual Violence Advocate with over 20 years of experience in trauma-informed violence prevention services. She is a Federal and State grant writing expert acquiring more than 1.6 Million dollars for grassroots funding for domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and human trafficking organizations. She is the recipient of the Michigan Chronicle's 2019 Women of Excellence Award, the Phoenix Award given by HAVEN, Oakland County, and the Phenomenal Women's Award given by the AWARE Shelter in Jackson County, MI. She is a licensed Minister at Greater Grace Temple Church of Detroit, and an assisting official of Ms. Aretha Franklin, Mrs. Rosa Parks, and Congressman John Conyers' homegoing services. She is a consortium member of the African American Domestic Peace Project, AADPP. A nationally recognized culturally specific technical assistance team created to assist domestic & sexual violence agencies.
