My qualifications are BSc Food Science & Industries, MSc Public Health, MSc Food & Nutrition and I am a PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health in the Unit of Epidemiology and Global Health, Umeå University. I was also affiliated to the Umeå Centre for Gender Studies (UCGS) during my PhD studies, which led me to better understand and challenge the traditional forms of knowledge production in gender studies. I have had several years of work experience in interdisciplinary and cross-cultural research projects in Sweden, South-East Asia, and Indonesia.

I have proficiency in quantitative (i.e. multilevel analysis), qualitative (i.e. grounded theory analysis) and mixed method methodologies. My research interests lie within the social and contextual determinants of health and health inequalities, gender and social capital, children and adolescents’ health and educational achievement across the life course, as well as nutritional epidemiology. As part of my doctoral studies (February 2017), I studied Nutrition Transition and the Double Burden of Malnutrition in Indonesia.
