I’m a musician at heart and a physicist by training, but my real passion lies in building products inspired by being a parent. In 2011, when my first son was born, I started the app development company, Parents2ParentsApps, to address the needs of parents like me. Our Sound Sleeper app, a real source of pride, helped more than five million parents and their babies to sleep through the night. Recently, I got a note saying - “Thank you is not even close to how I feel about your app - you saved my life!” How gratifying!
Low and behold, my kids started outgrowing our apps. When my oldest son started the 1st grade, he was struggling with math, and I started wondering how to help him. When Amazon Alexa came home, I was amazed to see how my kids interacted with the device. For them, talking to the machine was like talking to a person. I wondered, “Can Alexa help my kids learn math,” and Thinking Cap Innovations was born.
