My first work experience came at the age of 15, when I began lifeguarding for the Patterson club. After working for the Patterson club for a year, I started an assistant swim coaching position at Black Rock Yacht club. I was a competitive swimmer for 13 years, from the ages of 7-20. Swimming taught me the value of discipline, and the impact a hard work ethic can truly have. After my various coaching and lifeguarding endeavors, I was given the opportunity to intern with New York life. This experience provided
me with my first look into the sales world. It also gave me the opportunity to obtain my life, accident, and health license. After working in insurance for the summer, I began an internship with Apex Systems going into my senior year of college. The internship experience was a great opportunity to grow and learn about the world of staffing, after interning from June to August I received the opportunity to work full time. After working for Apex Systems for 6 months, I moved into an Executive Recruiter role with Smith Hanley Associates. My focus was in finding candidates in support of quantitative trading operations, for Hedge Funds, Investment banks, and Asset Managers.
