I am a California and Nevada licensed attorney with an entrepreneurial mindset and 14+ years of combined law firm, HR, and in-house counsel (startup, small and large public company) experience and a passion for real estate, tech, mentoring college and law students and new attorneys, volunteering, and advising tech startup founders.

I have provided legal counsel to companies ranging from startups to Fortune 50 companies including financial institutions and tech companies. I have also counseled US and international companies on diverse corporate and regulatory compliance matters.

Currently, I am the first General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer of a fintech startup. In 2021, I was selected to participate in first cohort of the On Deck Fintech Fellowship, which is a program for founders, investors, and operators working on frontier themes in fintech.

I am involved in several organizations including the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), Women in FinTech SF, and The Bridge Builders Esq. National Mentorship Program for Aspiring Black Lawyers.

I have launched and served as the first General Counsel & Head of Compliance for multiple startups. Also, I have served as the first General Counsel of several other established companies including a real estate investment/asset management company with approximately $500 million in assets under management (AUM) and a Chief Counsel & Compliance Officer at a public multi-billion-dollar company (~40,000 employees). Prior to transitioning to an in-house role, I worked at a large international law firm (AM 100).

After college, I ran my family's business and handled all aspects of operations. I graduated early from college and law school.
