With warmth, creativity and insight, I work with people who are yearning to live an authentic life -- a life that is real, instead of perfect. A life in which you learn to listen to your life-affirming inner wisdom, to express your thoughts and feelings, and to face challenges with courage and integrity.
Together, we’ll create a map of your internal landscape and safely explore the way that you talk to yourself, your beliefs, and how you approach and interact with others. We’ll distinguish the “shoulds” and expectations from your “wants” and dreams. I help you celebrate what is already working for you and use those strengths to confront the areas that make you feel anxious, angry, or in pain. Together, let’s find your unique way to reveal and change patterns that are no longer working for you.
You are always in charge of your therapy, and your goals.
You may find that your beliefs and wants conflict with partners, friends, or family. This can cause pain and a feeling of isolation. Together we’ll identify the prices and payoffs within these conflicts, so you can make conscious choices about what you want to do when these tensions arise.
I love doing this work with both individuals and couples. With couples, I work to strengthen or rebuild the trust and friendship between you and your partner, help you learn how to respectfully manage conflict, and create a sense of being a team. With individuals, I help you to soften your judgmental self talk, face difficult challenges in work and family life with a new perspective, increase your resilience, identify what you want and need, and create a plan towards living the life you want.
It would be a privilege to journey with you in this process.
As a trained drama therapist, I have witnessed the power of creative expression to open up and accelerate the therapeutic process.
