Sharon Hornstein

Sharon Hornstein

Senior Researcher at General Motors Motion Control | Traffic Analysis and Simulation

How can we leverage technology to reduce congestion? How is the future automotive industry affect each one of us?
Using my background in Mechanical Engineering and my expertise in Dynamical Systems and Control,
I combine motion control methods and vehicle connectivity to design algorithms for cars that will improve our day-to-day life.

Besides working as a researcher in GM Israel, I am also dedicated to Women's empowerment. I volunteer as a mentor at the Technion's mentoring program and meet (mostly) female students for engineering degrees who need some support towards advancing their careers. I also talk at various events in front of high-school students and graduates to promote them to choose an engineering or scientific degree.

I'm a great believer in the power of a team. I'll be happy to extend my network and join others, influence, and share ideas.
