Sheizaf Rafaeli (B.A., Haifa University, M.A. Ohio State University, M.A., Ph.D., Stanford University) is the President of Shenkar. A Senior Research Fellow at the Samuel Neaman Institute of the Technion, Professor at the University of Haifa where he served as Head of the Graduate School of Management and is Director of the Center for Internet Research. His interests include Computers as Media, Value of Information, Networks and Management. He is a member of the Stockholm International Challenge Jury for Information Systems. He writes a weekly popular columns in the financial press. Head of the Information Systems area in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, since 1986. Rafaeli published on this topic in numerous scientific journals. Active in practicing what he preaches: He has built numerous internet-based activities in commercial, higher-education, journalism, political, governmental, and other virtual organizations. He authored software and books on graphics, electronic spreadsheets and statistical analysis, and a textbook on information systems for the Open University. He is co-editor of Network and NetPlay: Virtual Groups on the Internet published by MIT Press, 1998. He served as co-coordinator of the international ProjectH. He was founder and co-editor of The Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, and is proud of having set up the Citizen's Advice Board online service. Sheizaf has served in visiting research and teaching positions at the Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Stanford Universities, as well as IBM, the Technion, and in Australia, China, Singapore, Korea, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia, and more. He has taught courses on management, computers as media, and the social implications of new communication technologies, and other courses. He is coauthor of a book and MOOC (on Harvard and MIT's edX platform) titled "Digital Culture/Clutter".
