Yuval Bitan is a research scientist, human factors engineer, and system analyst. He is studying human cognitive strategies to handle incomplete and conflicting information, interaction with information, and its impact on decision making. His research is focused on how to implement this knowledge in the design of systems and processes, making them easier and more efficient to operate. Yuval was a Research Associate at the Cognitive Technologies Laboratory (University of Chicago, Illinois), HumanEra (University Health Network, Toronto, Canada), and at the University of Toronto. He zholds a Ph.D. in Human Factors Engineering from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Be’er Sheva, Israel, where he teaches in the Department of Health Policy and Management, and leads the Human Systems Integration in Healthcare Research Lab and the Research Center for Simulation in Healthcare – SimReC.
