TL;DR version of my experience: I've been developing software in tech companies for 15 years: Programming, architecting, project-managing, the whole pipeline. Then, in 2009, I switched to freelancing, doing the same things - this time as a consultant. I added teaching and mentoring to the list, sharing my experience with others.
These days, I'm always on the lookout for interesting projects and products I can help improve – by distilling specifications, building a better architecture, improving design, and making code more robust. I'm also involved with various teaching and mentoring projects, helping people become better at what they do.
