ICT Director - ETNI English Teachers Network / Midreshet Sde Boker / Caretakers of the Environment International
Beersheba, Southern
My main work and professional goals have been to introduce new pioneering initiatives into the classroom and slowly integrate these initiatives into the curriculum. My main efforts have dealt with ICT (Information Communication Technologies), in the areas of EFL (English as a Foreign Language) and Environmental Education.
I created the first Freenet in Israel in the Negev desert, founded ETNI (a virtual English teachers network which I still manage), and serve on a number of boards of Environmental organizations. I manage about 30 websites dealing with Environmental Education, the Negev, and English teaching. I have written and published a book for integrating the Internet into teaching English as a Foreign Language.
I left formal teaching to set up and run a computer communications center at Midreshet Sde Boker in the Negev, but still am involved in education.
My first love is writing. I have published three books:
- "As I Died Laughing": http://as-i-died-laughing.greenlloyd.com/
