It is a young industry which is still evolving. I enjoy the pace and maintain the view that it is important for leaders in our field to actively participate in software development with code contributions during project lifecycles.

Contrary to some misconceptions, excellence in software engineering is all about teamwork. Success comes from people. Results are not the point. Developing people so that they can achieve successful results is the point.
