I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I like fiddling with broken stuff. I like helping friends fiddle with broken stuff. I'm super gratified when someone comes to me for help.

I like explaining complex things so that they sound simple. I like watching complex plans come together through concerted effort. I dislike attending routine meetings for the sake of "touching base," because these meetings take up a huge amount of developers' time in the long run, and prevent us from concentrating on our work.

My general objective is to encourage confident, rational and empathetic decision-making everywhere.
