In 2015, Shelby built her brand from her college dorm room. As a first-generation college student with an unclear career path, she had no idea how to build a brand let alone represent one. Four years and one Journalism degree later, she has worked with a number of brands directly such as Target, Aerie, Bumble, Milagro, Jimmy Choo, Benefit Cosmetics, Rocksbox, Vera Bradey, Her Campus, Clif Bar, and more. She has assisted in the launch and growth of start-ups from Kansas City to Chicago and was nominated as InfluenceHer’s Rising Influencer of the Year in 2019 and was one of a few alumni speakers at the University of Kansas Journalism School's J-School Generations in 2019.
