Maintained SYBASE applications in production for 20 years.
Performance management of huge databases -- having more than 6 to 7 billion records sometime in Routehub databases which maintain companyide transactions globally.
I initiated the process of moving data form ASE to IQ for reporting and warehouse management.
Built the files using bcp for every year. Built scripts to compare the data after moving. Used load table and loaded upto 50 files in one load after hours to achieve the volume needed.
All flavors of UNIX, PERL and PYTHON for executing database utilities
expert using bcp utility to move huge amounts of data -- utilised partial bcp's, native format bcp, bcp format file creations.
Single handedly moved all the application scripts in UNIX(solaris) to LINUX.
Maintained 16 applications in production. Built new applications( database objects like procedures, triggers, views and tables) and also the UNIX scripts.
Worked in global general ledger projects for massive data movement from ase to IQ
Built very efficient indexes in Sybase IQ for reporting purposes
